We're Indy, Ruby and Guido. We're at the same class and we follow a nature profile. That means that we follow the biology, chemistry and physics lessons.

Our Freetime Movie

Our school

This is a picture of our school. It's a very old school. In Septembre 2009 we celebrated the 110th anniversary.

We usually go to school at 8.30, but sometimes at 9.20 or 10.30. Our last lesson ends at 16.50, but some days you're ready at 14.20, 15.10 or 16.00.

Some lessons that we follow are mathematics, economics, Latin, English, Dutch and French.

St.-Odulphuslyceum

This is the logo of our school.

You go to our school when you are about 12 years old. Our school goes from class 1 to 6. In the forth class has everyone different subjects. There are two directions: the Economic-Society side en the Nature-Technical side. We, Guido, Indy and Ruby, do the Nature-Technical side.

St.-Odulphuslyceum is quite a big school: there are about 1500 students and 150 teachers.

Timetables

We all have different timetable, because we can choose our own subjects. This picture is an example of a timetable.

Good and bad points about our school

Good points:

- There is a nice atmosphere in the building, and most of the teachers are nice.

- After school, we have a lot of activities.

Example: In your 4th year you can go on a trip for a week to another country like Turkey, or Greece.

Bad points:

- The timetables at our school are bad. Sometimes we have to be at school from 8.30 till 16.50! That’s way too long!

- We've got more than 1400 students and the building is to small! Sometimes we are with more than 30 students in 1 classrooms, while there are less chairs!

If we could change something about our school it would be the the building because it's too small and the timetables.

What does our parents think about school?

- Do your parents think that school now is better or worse?

They think it is better now, because it is more extensive now.

- Was your parents time at school useful for them?

Yes, they learned a lot. For example English. If you speak English, you can talk to a lot of people in other countries.

- Have their studies helped them in their life?

Yes, they have learned for a job and now they can earn money in a way they like.

- What does our parents think about our school?

They think it is a good school, but sometimes there are some troubles. But that's on every school.
The school is changed a lot the last year. There are a lot of problems with the timetables, because students sometimes have to much subjects. There are also problems with the building. There aren't enough classrooms.
